Won't be long till we are together

I am very excited that both my son and daughter will be home visiting this weekend with their significant others. This wonderful event usually happens at Christmas but this is really a holiday when the kids some a calling.

Ian will be bringing our grand-puppy Rosco, who we love as well as Meghan who we love more.
Sarah and Piper will arrive sometime on Thursday after a long drive. We cannot wait to see them both. It has been awhile.

The cottage is almost done and now I am trying to make it a great place to visit. Most the kitchen is organized and the bedrooms are ready for guests.

Please check our blog about this amazing renovation. My husband has done most of the interior work and lots on the outside too. I cannot be prouder of him. wardavilla.codetown.org

I am off to my sewing group tonight and promise to post pictures soon on my projects. Enjoy the warm spring day.

new look

All it takes is a talented daughter to make this brand new blog look good. Last night I was talking to Sarah, and I mentioned my new blog....my husband did a double take and said...YOU have a BLOG.

Guess I am not so techno inept. Yes I have a blog I replied but now it looks good, thanks to Sarah. We both have a love of Wizard of Oz as you can tell.

I came home and worked on some book arts projects for a few minutes. Hope to take pictures soon to share. I created them from an old children's book and the corners from envelopes. They make perfect bookmarks. Check out http://gomakesomething.com/ for some wonderful ideas.

Have a great night. Life is good when you know where to look.

just trying to keep up

I thought I would take some time to enter the world of blogging today. I often need the help of my children to create these types of communications but so far it seems easier than I thought.

I hope you will enjoy my blog, but know that I will not be able to get to it very often as my full time job keeps me from having all the fun I want.

It would be nice to get to know some new people to share ideas about loving and enjoying our lives in these crazy times.

Please feel free to comment when you want and enjoy links to other wonderful blogs I have found. My favorite blog is playing elegant...please check it out. (I am a bit biased....it is my talented daughters blog.)

Enjoy the day.....for it is the only one we have right now. Marie
